There are now a lot of famous writers in the entertainment industry but it is hard to not notice the remarkable executive producers of Star Trek Aaron Harberts and Gretchen Berg. But do you know how these two started their writing career?
Aside from being the executive producer of Star Trek, Harberts have also written various screenplays and created storylines that have later on evolved into good projects. However, do you know that Harberts started with a very humble beginning during the early years of his screenwriting career? During his childhood, Harberts has always been a fan of creating storylines in his mind. Growing up in a small town in Iowa, the young Aaron was raised by a religious family as his father is a Presbyterian minister.
Back in the day, this young man was not fond of hearing his father’s sermons in church so during those times, he lets his mind wander through a lot of creative dimensions. Harberts confessed to being a great daydreamer during his childhood as he used to escape reality through imagining and creating new worlds in his mind and later on, he writes them down so he won’t forget about them. Little did he knew that it was actually the time he started building up for his future writing career. Over the years, this promising writer has been working on various projects which are all undeniably big hits including Beverly Hills and 90210 and he then continued with his first few shows Pepper Dennis, Pushing daisies, Reign, Revenge and many others.
When he was in his freshmen years, Harberts met Gretchen Berg which later on became his reliable writing partner and these two both clicked with their creativity and love for art. However, Berg had a rough start in her writing career. She was a huge fan of working solo in the comedy genre until a few of her projects went down so she decided that she should refer to her good friend Harberts to help her with putting off her ideas. They started improving these works as a team but it ended up not well enough so they burned the scripts down. However, giving up is not in the vocabulary of these two so they tried out a few genres such as science fiction and dramas.
One can really say that this amazing duo has definitely made a name for themselves with an empire of their own in the entertainment industry. After Mercy and revenge, these two have been working on various projects that have all been good hits. Their latest and most popular project up to this day is the new reboot of Star Trek which is one of the best ones so far.
