If you are from Orlando and went to spend some weekends on the beach, then you should find the beaches that are closest to you. If you check out the nearest beaches, it will take around an hour drive at least to reach your destination from Orlando. It is well worth driving an hour or so to visit the great beaches of Florida on the East Coast. Here are some of the best beaches nearest to Orlando.

An hour and fifteen minutes from Orlando is the Canaveral National Seashore. Their dunes are very impressive and the empty sands are vast. IN Florida, this each has the longest expanse of pristine shore and it is a very tranquil place. Here you can swim, fish, hike or simply unwind on the beach.
